The grip of swamp ivory recovered from the remains of elephants which perished in the swamps in antiquity, finely carved as a stylized deity. Intricately decorated mendak over original cloth blade seat. 13 1/4" blade of heavily textured laminar grained pattern welded steel. Swamp ivory hilts are very rarely encountered.
