Mid-19th century. Well carved of a single piece of wood, 37" in height and slightly tapering from the bottom, the center with a high banded ridge hollowed from the back with integral hand grip. Four woven split cane cross bands. Well worn with just some original black finish, primarily to the back. The left sides and upper projections battle word with several distinct weapon impacts evident.
